Phil Jay

Hi, I’m Phil Jay. I was born in the UK on the South Coast of Dorset, where I still live. An animal lover from birth, with a hard crusty exterior over a cotton wool Centre. I retired in 2018, ending a fifty-year career in the plumbing and heating industry. However, with little to do, and an overactive mind, this life-changing event led to boredom. That’s until fate intervened, with me meeting rabbit Babe, and a new hobby or two.
Like many, I always saw rabbits as pets for children that lived in cages. So, how did I end up living with two Dutch Rabbits, freely enjoying the questionable luxury of my home? Well, that’s all in the posts of my first hobby, this blog, and lays bare my cotton wool Centre. In reality, this self-funded site is my single-handed attempt to convey a topic I am passionate about. The joy of owning pet rabbits that are part of a family and properly cared for. As a result, improving pet rabbit welfare.
The Second hobby? Well, I have no English qualifications and I’m not an author! So, that’s learning how to convey my message effectively.
